ABERDEEN'S MARITIME OPERATIONS CENTRE IN THE FRAME!

The photograph shows Eric Auld (left) with Board Chairman, David Paton OBE.
The port of Aberdeen's new Marine Operations Centre is already providing a
landmark attraction for photographers and artists - the latter including Eric Auld
who has completed a painting commissioned by Aberdeen Harbour Board.
The Centre's design, chosen following a competition, reflects a traditional Scottish lighthouse
supporting a modern glass structure and the eye-catching building offers a variety of perspectives.
The Aberdeen artist's works are in public and private collections throughout the world. His latest
painting featuring the port will hang in the Board's offices at 16 Regent Quay.
For Eric, the final brush stroke on the oil painting was followed by pen-and-ink work - signing
copies which the Harbour Board are using in promoting the busy port.
