Aberdeen Harbour Achieves OHSAS 18001 And ISO 14001 Certification

Aberdeen Harbour’s health, safety and environmental management systems have been approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance as meeting international standards OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

This achievement demonstrates The Board’s commitment to continually improving its Safety and Environmental performance and assures its customers and stakeholders that effective, robust measures are in place to protect people and the environment from harm.  Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance assessed the systems against the internationally recognised standards OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 in November.

Commenting on the achievement, Colin Parker, Chief Executive said, “This is fantastic news. It reflects the diligence of our staff in terms of carrying out their work in a safe and attentive manner. It also demonstrates the commitment of the whole organisation to maintaining and improving the environmental standards within the Harbour. We are all very proud of our safety and environmental record to date, but we are always striving to improve”.
