MV Hondius visits Aberdeen on maiden voyage

Aberdeen Harbour today welcomed the MV Hondius cruise vessel on its maiden voyage.

The expedition vessel is the world’s first registered Polar Class 6 cruise vessel and has been designed to meet the conditions in the polar regions with ease.

The MV Hondius is 107 meters long and can accommodate up to 174 passengers and 72 crew.

After arriving in Aberdeen Harbour, the vessel’s Captain was presented with a commemorative plaque, bearing the Aberdeen Harbour Board crest.
