Wind Turbines Arrive at Harbour

Wind Turbines Arrive at Harbour

It’s always an interesting day at the quayside in Aberdeen, and we’re proud to handle vital materials and equipment for a broad range of onshore and offshore projects.

This week saw the arrival of wind turbine blades, hub sets and nacelles, all destined for the onshore Dorenell Wind Farm on the Glenfiddich Estate.  The wind farm, which is south of Dufftown, will host 59 wind turbines and is one of the largest onshore wind farms to be built in Scotland. Once built, Dorenell could produce enough electricity for up to 138,000 homes.

Once completed, our South Harbour will enhance our ability to support onshore and offshore renewables projects, and we look forward to seeing many more interesting pieces of equipment pass through the Harbour.
