• Alistair Mackenzie

    Chairman

    Alistair has worked in Aberdeen’s energy industry for more than 20 years. He is currently regional director of Achilles Group Limited, responsible for delivering supplier management services to the oil and gas sector. Alistair is also a commissioner of the Northern Lighthouse Board.

  • Howard Woodcock

    Board member since 2012

    Howard has been involved in shipping and marine businesses for 30 years. He has been Chief Executive of Bibby Offshore Holdings Limited since 2005 and has also helped with the fundraising for a number of local organisations, including Cornerstone Community Care and the Aberdeen Safer Communities Trust.

  • Colin Parker

    Employed by the Board since 1987, Colin was appointed Chief Executive in 2006. He served as Chairman of the British Ports Association from 2012 to 2014 and remains a member of their Council. Colin is Chairman of the North East Committee of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry, which he joined in 2009.

    A chartered architect, town planner and development consultant, George has worked both in private practice and local government on large-scale, complex development projects. He is an active member of mthe Scottish Council for Development and Industry, Institute of Directors and is a former committee member of the North East Scotland Preservation Trust.

  • Mike Bowyer

    Mike is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Director who has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 37 years, holding executive positions with several companies. He currently sits on the Board of OPITO Strategic Limited. In 2012, Mike was appointed Chair of the Aberdeen Branch of the Institute of Directors.

    Fred is the chairman of Fife-based Tullis Russell Group, where he was Chief Executive for two years before being appointed to the Board. He is also a Trustee of the Russell Trust and Non-executive Chairman of the leading child care company, Childbase.

  • Mike Porter

    Board member since 2015

    Mike joined the oil and gas industry in the late 1970s and has experience in the provision of offshore logistics, marine and integrated supply base solutions. He was Chief Operating Officer of Peterson SBS’s Offshore Group of Companies, establishing new operations internationally before joining the Harbour Board in January 2015.

  • Morag McNeill

    Morag is a practising solicitor with experience in corporate finance and the ports industry. She has spent seven years with Forth Ports plc as General Counsel and as a member of the management board. Morag is a non-executive director of several charities, including the Edinburgh Academy.

  • Malcolm Laing

    Malcolm is a corporate lawyer who has lived and worked in Aberdeen since 1982. He is a former partner, and current consultant, at Ledingham Chalmers LLP. Malcolm has also been a director of Cornerstone Community Care for the last fifteen years.

  • Tony Strachan

    Tony is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a member of the Institute of Directors. Between 2003 and 2010 he served as the Bank of England’s representative in Scotland. He has also been involved as a member of the Court and the Audit Committee of Heriot Watt University.

  • James Bell

    James joined Aberdeen Harbour Board in 2009 from Caledonian Brewery, where he had been head of finance since 2002. He trained with Bird Simpson Chartered Accountants and has worked with Meston Reid and Diageo. James is also Chairman of the Finance Group of British Ports Association, which he initiated in 2010.

  • Chris Bain

    Chris began her career in helicopter and marine logistics, before working as a Logistics Manager with Petrofac, Dubai Petroleum and Ras Al Khaimah Petroleum. She headed up Project Services for Petrofac on the Laggan Tormore Project before joining Aberdeen Harbour Executive in April 2013. Chris is also a Non-executive Board Member of the Aberdeen & Grampian Chambers of Commerce.
