Join Aberdeen Harbour's Board at a unique time in the port's near-900-year history.
Aberdeen Harbour is the UK’s International Energy Port, providing marine support facilities to the UK’s oil & gas industry and supporting the transition to renewable sources of energy. It is also a global gateway for commerce and trade, and acts as a lifeline ferry port for services to the Northern Isles.Ever adapting to meet the changing needs of its customers, the port recently embarked upon a £350 million expansion project, designed to transform its ability to accommodate larger vessels and to make the port the largest in Scotland in terms of berthage.
At this unique moment in the Harbour’s almost 900 year history, we are seeking applicants to fill non-executive vacancies on the Board from candidates with a keen interest in the activities and business of the port.
Applications are invited from interested parties of all disciplines who will be able to demonstrate a range of skills, attributes and experience that will contribute to the functioning of the Board. Applicants will be required to demonstrate ability and proven track record in their chosen profession or other activities, and will be required to work with senior and professional staff, and an ability to grasp complex issues quickly is important, as is experience of achieving results in a committee or board environment.

Appointments will be for an initial term of three years, commencing 1st January 2020. Board members are expected to devote up to two days per month to the work of the Board and are remunerated.
